Richmond Gear Weekend Warrior Event - Demo Derby - Linden Davis Memorial - Texas Wing Modifieds
Heart O' Texas Speedway kicks off the month of August with one of its best events of the year. This Friday Night the speedway will be hosting the Richmond Gear Weekend Warrior Event in conjunction with our Annual DEMO DERBY, Texas Wing Modifieds and the Linden Davis Memorial $1000 to win IMCA Southern Sport Mod event. Linden Davis was a long time fan and supporter of the speedway that lost his battle with cancer in June of this year and his family wanted to give back to the speedway and sport that gave Linden a lot of joy and excitement. His favorite class was the IMCA Southern Sportmod division. This week they will be racing for $1000 to win as well as $500 is up for grabs for the Hard Charger in the A-main. This will be one race you will not want to miss. Being the Richmond Gear Weekend Warrior Event night, the Winner of the Southern Sport Mod feature will also pick up a $200 gift certificate for a set of Richmond Gears and the Hard Charger will pick up a $100 gift certificate towards a set of Richmond Gears. If that and all of the exciting racing action in our other divisions was not enough, this week will be our ANNUAL DEMO DERBY!!! Come out and watch some drivers intentionally crash and smash cars to see which one is the last one running. $1,000 is up for grabs in the demo derby if there are 10 cars or more. $750 if less than 10 cars. This Friday night should be some great racing under the lights. Dont forget start time for the remainder of August is set for 8:30pm.
