ASCS Southwest Region Returns Saturday To Central Arizona Speedway
Bryan Hulbert – CASA GRANDE, Ariz. (February 18, 2021) Looking to kick off the 2021 season this Saturday, February 20, the ASCS Southwest Region will head for the high-banks of the Central Arizona Speedway in Casa Grande, Ariz. for the first time since 2019.
The tour’s 197th event, the 2021 season starts with 58 drivers having found Victory Lane with the ASCS Southwest Region. While COVID did make for a shortened 2020 season, Colton Hardy was still able to capture his second consecutive tour title. Looking into the 2021 campaign, several tracks are working to get their schedules lined up through the restrictions, leaving the overall run of events still in progress.
While updates on events are in the works, the season will still be able to get underway with added money on the weekend as photographer, Ron Gilson, will payout $25 to each Heat Race winner with The Race Shack taking care of the back of the field with $25 certificates to each of the last place drivers, as well as a $50 certificate to the driver who is scored last in the A-Feature.
Saturday, February 20 at Central Arizona Speedway opens at 5:00 P.M. with action on track at 7:00 P.M. (MT). Joining the ASCS Southwest Region will be Power 600 Series Micros, Pure Stocks, and Bombers. Admission is $20 with kids 11 and under free into the Grandstands.
