Race of Champions
FIRST 500 FANS THROUGH THE GATE TO RECEIVE RYAN PREECE “HERO CARD” FOR THE ROD SPALDING CLASSIC AT CHEMUNG SPEEDROME
The first 500 fans that enter the gate at Chemung Speedrome on Saturday, August 7, will receive a commemorative Ryan Preece hero card recognizing his appearance in “The Night before the Glen” Rod Spalding Classic. It is a unique design by “MOJO Photos” (Duane, Daryl and Evan Canfield) and printed by the Official Printer of the Race of Champions, Printed Image of Buffalo through their successful Motorsports Fancards program.
Preece of Berlin, Ct., who races in the NASCAR Cup Series, will be in competition in the Modified Series event. Preece will also have bring his t-shirts and diecasts and have them for sale in the grandstand area.
The Modified Series will compete in the Rod Spalding Classic honor of the late and great driver, whose injuries spurred the development of the Spalding Foundation for Injured Drivers, headed by Betty Sherwood.
The Race of Champions Super Stock Series will compete in the “Tribute to Ed McGuire” which will now pay $1251.11 to the winner. The 51-lap race has become a great tradition for the series. McGuire’s career spanned several seasons in the Late Model category at Shangri-La Speedway.
The Spalding Foundation for Injured Drivers will also be recognized as part of the tradition of this night. There will be a fundraising part of the night. The Spalding Foundation has played a role in every “Rod Spalding Classic” at Chemung Speedrome.
The Race of Champions FOAR Score Four Cylinder Dash Series returns to Chemung for a 25-lap event to round out the card. The race will now pay $533.33-to-win and $60-to-start.

When: Saturday, August 7, 2021. Grandstand gates Open at 5:00pm. Qualifying begins at 6:15pm.

Tickets: $23 – General Admission; $20 Seniors (65 years and older) and Military; $10 Children (ages 6 to 11); Children 5 and under FREE – Family Pass (2 adults and 2 children) - $60.
Directions: The track is located at 605 Wyncoop Creek Road, Chemung, NY 14825, Exit 59 off of Interstate 86 (12 miles East of Elmira, N.Y., 45 miles West of Binghamton, N.Y., and 45 miles South East of Watkins Glen, N.Y.)
