RACE OF CHAMPIONS FOAR SCORE FOUR CYLINDER DASH SERIES TO BE HIGHLIGHTED AS PART OF PRESQUE ISLE DOWNS & CASINO RACE OF CHAMPIONS WEEKEND AT LAKE ERIE

The Race of Champions FOAR Score Four Cylinder Dash Series “Triple Challenge” made its debut last season. Race of Champions Series announcer Dave Buchanan presented the idea of the three races over the course of the Presque Isle Downs & Casino Race of Champions Weekend at Lake Erie Speedway in North East, Pennsylvania and a plan to make it happen was implemented. Several supporters of the division jumped in, making the event a huge success and the “Dash Series Triple Challenge” will once again return in 2021.

This year competitors will race for $371.71-to-win on Friday and Saturday and $50-to-start, with $571.71-to-win and $100-to-start on Sunday. To go along with the race earnings, one driver will earn the “Fred Rounds Cup” and the top-15 drivers will be rewarded for their efforts from Jeff Szafraniec and Rusty Diamond Cores business with the top spot earning an additional $300 as a bonus. (The top-15 award structure will be as follows; 1.) $300 2.) $200 3.) $125 4.) $100 6.) through 10.) $75 each 11.) through 15.) $50. – in addition to the driver’s racing purse earnings).

“The four cylinder division is where I began and I always enjoy rewarding our fellow racers and giving back to the division,” stated Jeff Szafraniec, owner Rusty Diamond Cores. “Everyone in the division works hard and we are fortunate to have so many great races and be a part of Race of Champions weekend as well as creating this great new tradition. We are looking forward to an exciting three days of competition.”

In addition to the purses and bonus awards, one competitor will receive “the Best Appearing Car” award from long-time FOAR Score Four Cylinder Dash Series supporter, D.C. and H. Consulting in Williamsville, New York. The “Best Appearing Award” will be presented on Sunday and voted on by a selected group of participants in the division.

Tickets may be purchased for the weekend and will be available at the Lake Erie Speedway ticket office or at www.lakeeriespeedway.com. In the event that there is inclement weather, the event will be postponed to 2022.
