Torrential Rain Fall Cancels Rumble by the River Finale
PORT ROYAL, PA (August 28, 2021) – Due to torrential rain fall during the late afternoon hours and unfavorable forecast for Sunday, Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and Port Royal Speedway track officials have canceled the Rumble by the River finale. There will not be a make-up date for this event, but we do look forward to a return visit in 2022.
The series will return to action next weekend at Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, OH on Saturday, September 4th with the River Days Rumble presented by Pepsi, paying $15,000-to-win. On Sunday, September 5th teams will be battling for a $30,000 top prize at Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, WV for the 53rd Annual Hillbilly Hundred.
