Countdown to the World Finals: 1 Day
Concord, NC— November 4, 2009—The third annual World of Outlaws World Finals featuring the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series and the World of Outlaws Late Model Series is quickly approaching at The Dirt Track @ Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina, November 5-7. In the 11 days leading up to the three-day action packed season ender, World of Outlaws drivers will share their thoughts on what is quickly becoming one of the “Must See” marquee events of the year.
The final driver up is Lucas Wolfe, the reigning Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year Award winner with the World of Outlaws, who has competed in each of the first two World Finals. He finished eighth in the first A-Feature event ever held during the World Finals in 2007. The native of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania also set fast time for the racing program on the second night of the inaugural World Finals, besting a very stout 48-car field. Wolfe enters this season’s World Finals 10th in the World of Outlaws championship standings on the strength of 17 Top-10 finishes.
Lucas Wolfe, Driver of the No. 5W Allebach Racing Maxim:
“It is a big event and one we always look forward to. It’s a lot of fun down there. It’s a very nice race track and it is fun to get to race with the Late Models, a division we don’t get to race with at all throughout the rest of the year. All of that stuff is fun, though it’s disappointing at the same time since it’s the end of the year. I’m looking forward to hopefully ending the year off on a strong note there. I think it’s a tremendous event for the fans. Everyone I have talked to the last few years that has gone to it has liked it and liked the opportunity to get a lot of racing for a pretty good value. That seems to have made it a strong event.”
The finale of the World Finals will air live on SPEED on Saturday, November 7 beginning at 8 p.m. Eastern, with Bobby Gerould on the call and Brad Doty offering expert analysis along with Shane Andrews and Erin Crocker reporting from the pit area.
On Thursday, November 5 at The Dirt Track @ Lowe’s Motors Speedway, adult tickets will be $10, with tickets for children 12-under just $5.
