CDR: Series-Leading 6th Victory at Lebanon!
A busy stretch of 6 events in just 9 days continued in ‘The Empire State’ on Sunday for the Big Game Treestands #7 team as they traveled north to Lebanon Valley Speedway, a track no stranger to ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ who raced to victory in 2009 and finished 5th in last year’s event.
After posting the fastest time in hotlaps at the half-mile located in West Lebanon, New York, Dollansky stopped the clocks in time trials with the 5th fastest time among the 25 competitors. Heat race action saw the Aggressive Hydraulics Maxim start in row two and finish 4th to earn a spot in the dash. Luck was in Dollansky’s favor for the dash inversion as the six pill was drawn meaning the Karavan Trailers #7 would start second. In the 6-lap dash ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ went on to finish 2nd.
As the 24-car field assembled for the 25-lap A-Main event, Dollansky started along side Kerry Madsen. With Madsen jumping out to the early lead, the Big Game Treestands #7 sprinter ran second in pursuit of the #92. As the laps started to click-off and the leaders worked through lapped traffic, Madsen jumped the cushion and opened the door for Dollansky to assume the point and lead lap 17. After two cautions on lap 17, ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ used a great restart to bring the field up to speed and set a fast pace during the final eight laps and cruise to his series-leading 6th victory of the 2011 World of Outlaws season.
"It’s great to be in victory lane here tonight at this great race track and great crowd," commented the Elk River Minnesota driver. "Kerry got up over the cushion in turn one and we were able to take advantage of it at that point. On the double-file restart I kind of spun my tires. We had a little bit harder tires and it took a little bit to get them going. What a team effort with Big Game Treestands, Karavan Trailers, Aggressive Hydraulics, Aeroquip, my crew, and my wife and daughter who are here tonight. To have win number six on the season is great but we’ve got a long ways to go and we’re going to keep working hard. Brian Morrison builds us great motors and Maxim Chassis does great race cars and everyone on this team all the way through and our fans back home."
The Big Game Treestands #7 team now heads to Oshweken Speedway in Ontario, Canada where racing resumes this coming Wednesday, July 27th.
