Big Game Motorsports and Craig Dollansky Earn Two Top 10s Before Road Trip

Inside Line Promotions – SPRING VALLEY, Minn. (Sept. 16, 2014) – Craig Dollansky and the Big Game Motorsports program are set to hit the road more often during the final two months of the season.

The Big Game Treestands team competed with the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series during a pair of events last weekend – when Dollansky earned two top 10s – and will join the premier sprint car series this Friday at Eldora Speedway near Rossburg, Ohio, and on Saturday at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pa.

“I feel good about where our team is at now,” Dollansky said. “Those are two tracks I enjoy racing on so we’re excited about this weekend.”

Dollansky is riding the momentum from a solid weekend with the World of Outlaws beginning last Friday at Clay County Fair Speedway in Spencer, Iowa, for The Arnold Motor Supply Shootout.

“All in all, it was a fairly solid night for us,” he said. “We got qualified decent and made a little headway in the heat race.”

The Big Game Treestands team timed in eighth quickest and advanced from third to second place in a heat race. That lined Dollansky up on the outside of the sixth row for the main event.

“We got up to about eighth place and I gave up a couple of positions trying different areas of the race track,” he said. “Instead of getting a spot or two we lost a couple of positions.”

Dollansky ended with a 10th-place result.

The weekend concluded on Saturday at Deer Creek Speedway for the Asgrow/DeKalb Clash at the Creek.

“We didn’t get qualified as strong as we’d liked, but we learned some things as well,” Dollansky said. “We were able to win our heat race and get ourselves in the dash.”

The Big Game Treestands team qualified 11th quickest and Dollansky won a heat race to lock the car into the dash. He then picked up a position in the dash to finish sixth, which lined him up on the outside of the third row for the main event.

“We had a decent starting spot in the A Main,” he said. “I was right there with the top couple of cars the whole race. It was another solid night for us. Unfortunately we didn’t get a win, but we’re getting closer.”

Dollansky finished fourth, which marked his 15th top five of the season.

Sept. 13 – Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minn. – Qualifying: 11; Heat race: 1 (2); Dash: 6 (7); Feature: 4 (6).
