CDR: Looking Forward to 2015 with Destiny Motorsports

As the 2014 season heads into the final month, Craig Dollansky is eager to announce his plans for next season while also reflecting on the past few years.

Since joining Big Game Motorsports at the end of 2009, ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ has been very successful capturing 35 victories including the second most wins with the World of Outlaws when competing full-time in four of the five seasons. While this season has been focused more around a regional-type schedule, Dollansky still captured five victories and will now close the book as a driver for Big Game Motorsports, an opportunity that he has greatly appreciated.

"We have had five good years together and I want to thank Tod, Lisa, and everyone involved with Big Game for their support over the past five years," commented Dollansky. "To be together that long doesn't happen much in this sport. My family and I are appreciative of the opportunity to race for Big Game Motorsports and the success we had together.

"This decision wasn't easy to make and I know it affects others also, including the crew on the Big Game Motorsports team. I enjoyed my time working together with Guy Forbrook as we communicated well and he was one of the best crew chiefs that I have been fortunate enough to work with over my career. Pete and Tony brought the needed strength to our team and I appreciate their hard work. I would also like to thank the former crew members that were a part of the success that was achieved during my five years with Big Game Motorsports along with our marketing partners and manufacturers for their support during my time there."

While one door closes, another opens for the Elk River, Minnesota native and that is teaming up with Destiny Motorsports to head out on the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series trail full-time in 2015. Having run full-time with ‘The Greatest Show on Dirt’ in all but one year since 2001, Dollansky is ready to get to work and prepare for 2015.

'The Crowd Pleaser' is also excited about the opportunity to join up with a former crew chief, Scott Benic. Achieving great success together in the early 2000’s, Benic will once again spin the wrenches as the duo reunites with both individuals ready for the challenge ahead.

"Scott and I work well together and we know there is a lot of work to be done but that is already in process. We are more motivated than ever and eager to get started at the World Finals in November."

While joining a new team does present some aspects of change, there will be similarities to years past as Dollansky will continue to carry No. 7 along with the support of a long-time sponsor. Aggressive Hydraulics came on board with Craig Dollansky Racing in 2008 and has become a staple with CDR over the year, 2015 will be no different as they cross over to the Destiny Motorsports #7.

"It was important to me to keep our #7 for all of our supporters and fans," commented the driver who finished 4th in this year's prestigious Knoxville Nationals. "Aggressive Hydraulics have been great supporters of my family and I over the years and we are very appreciative of their continued support. Paul and Jenn Johnson are close friends and have worked very hard along with all the employees who continue growing Aggressive Hydraulics. We are extremely proud to represent their company and will be working hard to win races for them and contend for a WoO championship."

Destiny Motorsports will compete for the first time with Dollansky behind the wheel at the World of Outlaws World Finals on November 6-8 to close out the 2014 season.
