Blaney Records Top-10 Finish with World of Outlaws at Lawrenceburg

Inside Line Promotions – SPRING RUN, Pa. (Oct. 20, 2015) – Dale Blaney put together a consistent performance last Friday at Lawrenceburg Speedway.

Blaney led his Mainstream Holdings, Inc., sponsored CH Motorsports team to its 54th top-10 finish of the season and its seventh with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series.

“It wasn’t too bad,” he said. “I didn’t time in as good as I hoped, but I timed bad enough to be on the front row of a heat. I just wasn’t very good in the heat. I had Christopher Bell next to me. He is a pound-the-fence guy. He beat us off turn two and I was trying to work down. I just wasn’t very good. (Steve) Kinser passed me and then Shane (Stewart) passed me. I was trying to find a decent place to run and couldn’t find one.”

Blaney, who qualified 14th quickest to open the night, finished fourth in a heat race after starting on the pole at the bullring in Lawrenceburg, Ind. That locked him into the 14th starting position for the main event.

“We rolled up to ninth in the A Main and were eighth at one point,” he said. “I felt like I was pretty good before the rubber really got laid down. The track was as good as I’ve seen it over there since it’s been the big track. It was a good, solid night for us.”

Blaney ended with a ninth-place result.

The weekend concluded on Sunday at Path Valley Speedway Park, where Blaney and the Mainstream Holdings, Inc., backed team made its debut by setting quick time during qualifying. Unfortunately, rain and snow began to hit the track while Blaney pushed out for his heat race and the weather cancelled the remainder of the event.

Blaney will return to action this Saturday at Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pa., and Sunday at Weedsport Speedway in Weedsport, N.Y., with the World of Outlaws.
