Sides Focused on Top Fives During This Weekend’s World Finals

Inside Line Promotions – BARTLETT, Tenn. (Nov. 2, 2015) – Jason Sides knows how to run up front during the Bad Boy Buggies World of Outlaws World Finals.

Sides was in contention for his first career World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series triumph at The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, N.C., in 2013 until Paul McMahan made a late-race pass. Sides finished second after leading 24 of the 30 laps.

“We’re going there planning on having a couple of good qualifying efforts, good heat races to get in the dash and come home with top fives in the main events,” Sides said. “I like that track. It’s a little different. When they get it right you can run the top or the bottom.”

The World Finals also wraps up the 2015 season for Sides, who enters the weekend ranked eighth in the championship standings. He has recorded 12 top fives with the Outlaws this season, which will be his best points finish since 2011.

“It is bittersweet,” he said. “You’re looking for a break from the whole year where you can get some family time. At the same time after about three weeks of being off you’re ready to be racing again.”

Sides decided not to compete last week during the 28th annual COMP Cams Short Track Nationals at I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Ark., after the four-day Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour event was hampered by weather and only one race was completed.
