Inside Line Promotions – KNOXVILLE, Iowa (June 13, 2016) – Danny Lasoski led Big Game Motorsports to a pair of top-10 finishes last weekend during the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series doubleheader at Knoxville Raceway.

“Every driver wants to win,” he said. “We had high hopes of winning at least one race. It was a good measuring gauge to see where we stack up. We have some work to do, but I’ve got the guys to do it.”

The weekend began on Friday with Lasoski qualifying fourth quickest in his group, which put the Muddy sponsored team on the front row for a heat race.

“We didn’t get the start we wanted and I was third by the time we got to the flag stand,” he said.

Lasoski placed third in the heat race to garner the 11th starting position in the main event.

“We were still battling the same issues we have been,” he said. “The car was unbearable the first few laps in dirty air, but the whole Muddy team is working hard to rectify that. As the race went on I think I got to sixth before a driver turned left and put me in the infield, which allowed two others by me.”

Lasoski ended eighth and the Muddy backed team returned to the half-mile oval on Saturday for the finale.

“I’m glad we got to run back-to-back nights,” he said. “We made some changes and were second quick (during qualifying) and won our heat race.”

That locked Lasoski into the dash, where he placed eighth to line up on the outside of the fourth row for the 25-lap main event.

“We started coming and had that big wreck a few laps into the race,” he said. “It knocked out two guys who were ahead of us so that moved us up. Once the fuel load burned off we got better and better. If we can get our race car handling the first half of the race like we did the last half we’ll be a factor.”

Lasoski rallied to post a runner-up result. He remains second in the Knoxville Raceway championship standings, but cut the deficit to 85 points.

The Muddy sponsored team will return to National Sprint League competition this Friday at Jackson Motorplex in Jackson, Minn.; Saturday at Knoxville Raceway; and Sunday at Mason City Motor Speedway in Mason City, Iowa.
