Blaney Seeking Trip to Victory Lane This Weekend at Eldora Speedway

Inside Line Promotions – HARTFORD, Ohio (Sept. 20, 2016) – Dale Blaney is itching for a win at Eldora Speedway.

“Eldora is one of my favorite places,” he said. “The history behind it makes it special. I haven’t been to Victory Lane at Eldora … I can’t remember the last time I was there. I need to get there before the year is over.”

Blaney and the Mainstream Holdings, Inc., sponsored CH Motorsports team will visit the half-mile oval near Rossburg, Ohio, this Friday and Saturday during the 4-Crown Nationals.

“It’s always fun to go back there,” he said. “It’s a neat weekend with the Outlaws race Friday and then we have USAC and the All Stars on Saturday. There’s a lot of guys there that you are a fan of and get to watch.”

Blaney hasn’t visited the Winner’s Circle at the high-banked oval track since Oct. 1, 2011. His most recent World of Outlaws win there came in 2004.

“Last year we had a chance at winning an All Star race,” he said. “I kind of screwed that up and made a couple of bad laps and (Chad) Kemenah passed me. It comes down to how confident and comfortable you are with your race car. If you can be confident and comfortable getting in the corners you can do a lot of good things.”

Blaney has a season-best result of seventh place at Eldora Speedway during four races this year.

He enters the weekend with a 22-point lead in the All Star championship standings with only four races remaining.
