Wilson Ready to Compete on Home Turf This Week During World of Outlaws Races in Ohio

Inside Line Promotions – NEW RICHMOND, Wis. (July 10, 2018) – Greg Wilson is heading into a couple of big races in his home state this week.

The Ohio native is scheduled to compete on Tuesday at Attica Raceway Park in Attica during the Ohio Logistics Brad Doty Classic and Thursday through Saturday at Eldora Speedway near Rossburg during the 35th annual Kings Royal with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series.

“It’s always exciting to race in Ohio because a lot of our sponsors are based here as well as a lot of our family and friends,” he said. “Plus, we have more laps at these tracks so we are able to adjust on the fly better.”

Wilson has 19 career 410ci winged sprint car wins as well as a trio of 360ci triumphs at Attica Raceway Park. He has earned four 410ci wins, including one with the World of Outlaws, and nine 360ci victories at Eldora Speedway.

“That’s always a confidence booster going to tracks where you’ve won,” he said. “Right now we’re looking for consistency and to continue improving our program every time we hit the race track.”

Wilson raced last Friday and Saturday at Cedar Lake Speedway during the FVP Platinum Battery Showdown with the World of Outlaws. He placed 16th during the opening night and 19th in the finale.

“We had some bright moments, including qualifying sixth quickest on Friday,” he said. “We’re working toward making all of the new dynamics of our team consistent from hot laps to qualifying to the heat race and the main event. We have bright spots here and there so we’re aiming to find that consistency throughout each race night.”
