Inside Line Promotions – ROSSBURG, Ohio (Oct. 16, 2018) – Jason Sides will head to one of his best tracks when the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series invades Dodge City Raceway Park this Saturday for the Outlaw Boot Hill Showdown.

Sides hasn’t raced at the 3/8-mile oval since 2015, when he captured his second career Outlaws win at the track located in Dodge City, Kan. His first triumph came in 2011.

“I wish it was a three-day show,” he joked. “I can’t wait to get there. I feel like we’ve got a pretty good car there no matter what happens. The track is always good, top, bottom and middle. It’s just one of those places I really like.”

Sides has recorded a top-six result during 13 of his last 14 races at Dodge City Raceway Park dating back to 2009. Five of those finishes were podiums.

He will begin this weekend on Friday at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan., for the FVP Platinum Battery Shootout. His career-best result at the track of second place came in 2013.

Sides raced in a pair of Outlaws events last weekend after Friday’s race at Jacksonville Speedway in Jacksonville, Ill., rained out. The competition began on Saturday at Terre Haute Action Track in Terre Haute, Ind., during the Wabash Clash.

Sides timed in 17th quickest and advanced a position to finish fourth in a heat race before ending the night 21st in the main event.

“The track widened out a little bit for the feature,” he said. “As big and fast as it was some of the guys were running around the top. I tried to make the bottom work. Maybe we weren’t tight enough, but we just weren’t good enough.”

The weekend concluded on Sunday at Eldora Speedway during the Last Call for Them All. Sides qualified 12th quickest in his group. He picked up a position to finish fifth in a heat race before finishing the feature where he started – 19th.

“The groove in turns three and four was right on the fence and in turns one and two was about a foot off the wall,” he said. “We experimented to try to make the bottom work and that didn’t work out. We went in a different direction than we’d normally do and it just didn’t work.”
