Kraig Kinser Kansas Bound and Looking for Momentum as Season Nears End

Inside Line Promotions – ROSSBURG, Ohio (Oct. 16, 2018) – Kraig Kinser has a pair of races in Kansas on tap this weekend with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series.

Kinser will compete on Friday at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City during the FVP Platinum Battery Shootout and on Saturday at Dodge City Raceway Park in Dodge City during the Outlaw Boot Hill Showdown.

“I want to make some headway to end the year strong,” he said. “We want to get some momentum going. I have a little experience at those tracks. They can be high speed and on-the-gas places, but they can get slick, too. We’ll go off our notes and try to get a good setup and unload pretty quick.”

Kinser raced twice last weekend with the Outlaws, beginning on Saturday at Terre Haute Action Track in Terre Haute, Ind., during the Wabash Clash. He qualified 14th quickest, placed fourth in a heat race and finished 14th in the A Main.

“We were about midpack the whole race,” he said. “We qualified there and that’s about where we stayed. The track was real quick early and slicked off for the feature. Qualifying helps everywhere, but on a big track you have to do your passing quickly unless it gets slick enough and a couple of grooves develop where you can pass. We just couldn’t move forward once we qualified midpack.”

The weekend concluded on Sunday at Eldora Speedway during the Last Call for Them All. Unfortunately, mechanical problems plagued Kinser beginning in qualifying.

“It was a nightmare from qualifying on,” he said. “It was one of those nights you want to forget about. We can’t wait to get to Lakeside this Friday and start a new race.”

Last Friday’s race at Jacksonville Speedway in Jacksonville, Ill., rained out.
