Kraig Kinser Finishes in Top 10 in World of Outlaws Championship Standings for Ninth Straight Year

Inside Line Promotions – BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (Nov. 13, 2018) – Kraig Kinser recorded five top-five finishes en route to a 10th-place showing in the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series championship standings this year.
It marked the ninth straight season Kinser has placed inside the top 10 in the standings with ‘The Greatest Show on Dirt.’
“It’s obviously nice to do and to finish each year in itself is pretty tough,” he said. “We’re always working to better ourselves, to get quicker and do anything we can to better position ourselves. We’re in a place where we’d like to build more next year and we’ll work hard this winter to accomplish that.”
Kinser’s season-best result of fourth came at both Eldora Speedway near Rossburg, Ohio, and at Ransomville Speedway in Ransomville, N.Y. He also posted fifth-place finishes at Eldora Speedway; at Big Sky Speedway in Billings, Mont.; and at Fulton Speedway in Fulton, N.Y.
“We want to do that more consistently next year,” he said. “Those are good finishes for us and we want to continue building on those great nights. We’ll look at those nights and figure out how to copy those nights. We’ll look at how we started off the night and try to put ourselves in positions like that more often.”
Other highlights include a 10th-place run during his Knoxville Nationals preliminary night and numerous charges through the field that yielded the Hard Charger Award.
“There were nights when we started in the back and made a good charge,” he said. “When we start back there we want to continue to move forward in the features. Our goal is to keep going forward and keep having fast cars throughout the race. And then the goal is to consistently move forward and capitalize on fast cars on a regular basis.
