Steel City Outlaw is ready for more in California
Aliquippa,Pa_ Racing only once in 2 weeks results in too much down time says 4 time All Star Circuit of Champions champ, Tim Shaffer this week. Anxious to get back behind the wheel of the DR Racing, Rudzik Excavating 49x, Shaff is ready to redeem himself after circumstances beyond his control took him out of a potential win at Tulare, last Saturday. " I could go anywhere, high or low and when we got to lapped traffic early, I thought, hey I have a shot at this" said Shaffer, who raced at Thunderbowl this past October in one of the Southern Pacific Farms 360 sprints. But rain and mud buildup early caused the tear off clip to break, leaving him to handle a very fast car, and keep his vision clear at the same time. One note to keep in mind... Lap 35 ended the race and at that time, the Steel City Outlaw was timed as the fastest car on the track. Possibly a sign of things to come as the California swing continues.
