Dominic Scelzi Seeking Strong Finish to World of Outlaws California Swing

Inside Line Promotions – FRESNO, Calif. (March 27, 2019) – Dominic Scelzi is entering the final two World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series races during the spring swing through California with at least a podium finish on his mind.

Scelzi will compete on Friday at Keller Auto Speedway in Hanford and on Saturday at Perris Auto Speedway in Perris during the SoCal Showdown.

“We’ve had some strong runs and some misfortune during the last few weeks so hopefully we can put together a solid weekend with two great results,” he said. “We’ve got our first top five of the year with the World of Outlaws out of the way so the next step is to get our first podium and then our first win.”

Scelzi was victorious at Keller Auto Speedway last year and he captured a third-place finish at the track earlier this year. His career-best result during an Outlaws event at the oval is an 11th-place run in 2015.

“We have a lot of laps there and have had some strong runs,” he said. “The win last year was a cool moment and our charge up to third earlier this season gives us even more confidence returning to that track.”

Scelzi has one career start at Perris Auto Speedway, where he finished 11th in 2016.

“That’s a pretty good haul down there so we haven’t raced it very often,” he said. “Hopefully we can improve on how we did there the last time and end the California Swing with momentum.”

Races last weekend at Ocean Speedway in Watsonville, Calif., and at Placerville Speedway in Placerville, Calif., rained out.
