Inside Line Promotions – NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 3, 2019) – A trio of World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series races await Jason Sides this week.

The action begins on Tuesday at Fairbury Speedway in Fairbury, Ill., during the FVP Platinum Battery Showdown. River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, N.D., hosts the Northern Tour on Friday before the weekend wraps up on Saturday at Granite City Speedway in Sauk Rapids, Minn.

“We’ll be glad to get back to a normal race track,” he said. “Last weekend was fun and all, but it was too tight of racing. I’m looking forward to getting on a track where you can race.”

Sides and his teammate Tim Kaeding endured a tough weekend during the inaugural Music City Outlaw Nationals last Friday and Saturday at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway.

Both drivers were unable to make the A Main on Friday and Sides led the way on Saturday by recording an 11th-place run.

“The second night they kept up on the track because there’s only so much dirt,” he said. “Just by starting a little further up we missed a wreck going into turn four in our heat race. We tried to stay out of trouble and stay on the bottom to get ourselves in the dash.”

Sides overcame a 20th-place qualifying run by maneuvering from fifth to second place in a heat race. That locked him into the dash. A sixth-place run in the dash lined Sides up on the outside of the third row for the A Main.

“We ran sixth for a lap or two,” he said. “They watered and tilled the track trying to make sure we had something to race on. We left the car alone for slicker conditions. We left the car tighter. A couple of guys ran the top and got by us. Then we ran eighth for 20 laps or so. Late in the race you could feel people start beating on one another. Someone got into the back of me and shoved me up the track. Three cars got by so we ended up running 11th.”
