MAR Motorsports Treks to the Big E
MAR Motorsports with driver, Jordan Ryan embarked on four days of racing at the famed Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) over the course of last weekend.
Action opened on Wednesday with preliminary action for the Eldora Million as a talent-laden roster of 83 drivers filled the pit area at the hallowed, 1/2-mile oval.
The field was divided into twin $12,000-to-win programs, and after qualifying 26th fastest in his group, Ryan banked a second-place finish in his heat race, which locked him into the 13th-starting spot for the 25-lap feature. He ran around mid-pack throughout the event before crossing the finish line in 14th.
On Thursday heat race line-ups for the final night of the Eldora Million were seeded based upon driver's performances from the night prior. Starting sixth on the grid for his heat, Jordan Ryan was collected in a multi-car melee on a mid-race restart, which brought both his heat and his night to an early end.
The team resumed action on Friday with the opening round of the 40th annual King's Royal. Sixty-seven World of Outlaws NOS Energy Sprint Car racers entered the program, and Jordan laid down the 27th fastest-time in his qualifying group, which relegated him to the D-Feature. While he advanced three spots to finish fifth in the D-Main, he wasn't able to keep his hopes of an alphabet run alive.
He was relegated to the Non-Qualifier feature, where he started seventh before finishing 10th.
On Saturday night the start of the King's Royal finale program was delayed by Mother Nature, but ultimately resumed with Ryan qualifying 52nd fastest. A ninth-place finish in his heat race was followed by a 16th-to-8th run in the C-Main, but with only the TOp-6 finishers advancing his night drew to an early end.
