Bill Balog Racing Welcomes Back Anderson's Maple Syrup, Prepares for 2025 Sophomore Season with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series
Rubicon, Wisconsin (December 17, 2024) – For the 5th season during his 20+ year career, Bill Balog will climb aboard the Anderson’s Maple Syrup #17B, this time for his sophomore season with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series over a 90-night journey around North America in 2025.
The Series’ 48th season of showcasing the top level of Sprint Car racing will send the teams to 41 tracks in 21 states along with a Canadian province as the tour ventures outside the United States borders for the first time in eight years.
“We’re thrilled to have Anderson’s Maple Syrup supporting us for our 5th season, you really couldn’t ask for a better partner. The support we received from them and a host of others to elevate this team and compete 90 nights across the country with the World of Outlaws in 2024 was amazing. I can’t thank everyone enough for allowing us to do this once again, we’re better prepared to hit the road and compete night in and night out this year”. Said Balog, the 10 time IRA Sprint Car Series Champion.
The 2025 season commences at Volusia Speedway Park for the Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals, Feb. 5 - 8, where the team started their 2024 rookie World of Outlaws campaign by qualifying for the dash and scoring an eighth place finish in their World of Outlaws debut.
The team will take on the country’s best drivers, new tracks and visit staples of the schedule while returning to tracks including the three night June Wisconsin run with stops at Plymouth Dirt Track and Angell Park Speedway, two tracks that Bill has found amazing results over the years collecting many IRA and All Star Circuit of Champions feature wins paired with Beaver Dam Raceway, where Bill bested the Outlaws to win the 2016 Jim Boyd Memorial feature event. They also look forward to building on the success of last year in the sport’s most prestigious crown jewels like the Knoxville Nationals and Huset’s High Bank Nationals, where Bill led 12 laps in his preliminary night feature, capturing a top five finish and locking him into his first “granddaddy of them all” Knoxville Nationals A-Main feature event and secured a podium finish after battling for 40 tough laps on the big stage at Huset’s Speedway for $100,000.
After twenty years of sprint car racing, ten IRA Sprint Car Series Championships, over 150 wins and two years competing with the Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions tour, Bill Balog and B Squared Motorsports stepped up to compete for a full season with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series in 2024, finishing the season 8th in Team Owner / Driver Points with the series.
Following a successful 2023 highlighted by nine feature event wins (two ASCoC, six IRA, one Wilmot Raceway), two Simpson QuickTime awards with the World of Outlaws and track records at Wilmot Raceway and Sycamore Speedway. Bill Balog and the Anderson’s Maple Syrup #17B competed against the Greatest Show on Dirt in 2024 covering 19 states during his 2024 World of Outlaws Rookie campaign.
