First Night of Kenosha County Fair

Jordan Goldesberry of Springfield, Illinois scored his first ever Bumper To Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprint Series main event victory taking top honors in the 30-lap Carriage Auto Body of Waukegan, Illinois sponsored Roger Iles Memorial Round I feature. Goldesberry overtook Sheboygan's Scotty Thiel who paced the 24-car field for the first 25 circuits. Five laps from the finish, after the two battled wing to wing sifting through traffic, Goldesberry shot to the point and the victory before the full house fair crowd.

Thiel was second, Bill Wirth of Cudahy third, Plymouth's Ben Schmidt fourth and Blake Nimee of Oswego, Illinois fifth.
"It was a great race with Scott (Thiel) and to win on fair night is awesome,"
said Goldsberry.
