Atomic Speedway Postponed Again until Saturday, June 4

INDIANAPOLIS (April 29, 2016) - With weather forecasts predicting high chances of precipitation in the Chillicothe, Ohio-area during most of the day tomorrow, April 30, mixed in with already heavily saturated grounds, Atomic Speedway and Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions officials have agreed to postpone the upcoming weekend’s scheduled program to Saturday, June 4. The rescheduled date will set up a doubleheader for Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions travelers, concluding with a return to the Bedford Fairgrounds Speedway in Bedford, Pennsylvania, on Sunday, June 5.

“We haven’t had much luck with weather so far this spring, but I’m sure things will change,” explained Brad McCown, Atomic Speedway promoter. “We wanted to give our fans and race teams enough time to make alternate plans this weekend. With the weather being an obvious factor, postponing ahead of time gives people an opportunity to save on travel and costs. We hope to see everyone here on June 4.”

Updated information regarding the June 4 program at Atomic Speedway in Chillicothe, Ohio, will be posted at a later date.

The Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions will now turn their attention toward a Western Pennsylvania doubleheader on Friday and Saturday, May 13-14. “America’s Series” will visit the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania, on Friday evening, May 13, all before trekking less than an hour north to the Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, May 14. Each event will award a $5,000 top prize and feature a complete Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions program. Additional updates will be posted in the coming weeks. Stay tuned online at www.lernerville.com and www.mercerracewaypark.com.

About the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions:

All Star Enterprises, LLC, wholly owned by Tony Stewart, d/b/a the All Star Circuit of Champions, is a winged sprint car series. The All-Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Car Series is one of the oldest traveling 410 sprint car organizations and is a staple of grassroots, open-wheel racing. Formed in 1970 by Bud Miller, the series has largely been considered the first 'outlaw' Sprint Car organization of the modern era. After a 10 year stint as owner of the All Stars, Miller passed control of the series to Bert Emick in 1980; a reign that would continue through 2002. Guy Webb then purchased the series from Emick in the summer of 2002 and served as the series President for the next 12 years. Motorsports entrepreneur Tony Stewart agreed to terms with Guy Webb to become the sole owner of the original winged sprint car tour in January of 2015.
