Arctic Cat All Stars All Set for Western Pennsylvania Invasion;

Action Ignites “Friday the 13th” at Lernerville

INDIANAPOLIS (May 11, 2016) - The Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions will continue their 2016 campaign this Friday and Saturday, May 13-14, with a return to the “Keystone State,” this time visiting two premier ovals in Western Pennsylvania.

Thirteen Arctic Cat All Star regulars will invade Lernerville Speedway and Mercer Raceway Park during their upcoming travels, ready to challenge the best that Western Pennsylvania has to offer for two separate $5,000 top prizes. “America’s Series” will attempt to outdo Western Pennsylvania’s finest, ultimately increasing their Pennsylvania win total to four on the season.

“I’ve always enjoyed racing in Western Pennsylvania,” explained Dale Blaney, current All Star point leader and defending champion. “Lernerville Speedway has always been one of my absolute favorite places to race, and Mercer Raceway Park is unique in its own way. It’s a great Western Pennsylvania combination for us as a series. They each have a lot of history and a great local racing tradition. We are all pretty excited to get the weekend going.”

Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania, will host the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions on Friday night, May 13. It will be the first and only appearance by the regional travelers at the speedway this season. A stout field of weekly sprint car competitors are expected to be on hand to help defend home dirt against the Arctic Cat All Stars, including a pair of Lernerville Speedway track champions, Carl Bowser and AJ Flick. Dale Blaney is the most recent competitor to find victory lane at Lernerville Speedway during Arctic Cat All Star competition, earning high honors on May 1, 2015. The “Low Rider” held off fellow All Star travelers Cody Darrah and Sheldon Haudenschild for the $5,000 paycheck, one of 12 Arctic Cat All Star victories for Blaney in 2015.

Once main event action is complete on Friday night in Sarver, Pennsylvania, Arctic Cat All Star teams will pack up and travel approximately one hour north to the Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania. The lone Arctic Cat All Star visit to Mercer in 2016 will feature an All Star Vs. Western Pennsylvania rematch, with many Lernerville Speedway regulars also full-time competitors at Mercer Raceway Park. The Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions made three visits to “MRP” in 2015, crowning three different main event winners. Chad Kemenah and Lee Jacobs each earned victories at Mercer Raceway Park during Arctic Cat All Star competition last season, with Ryan Smith capturing the most recent on Saturday evening, July 4. The “Kunkletown Kid” kept Dale Blaney and Cody Darrah in his rear-view mirror at the final checkers, one of three Arctic Cat All Star main event wins for the Kunkletown, Pennsylvania, native in 2015.

Hartford, Ohio’s Dale Blaney will enter the Western Pennsylvania doubleheader as the current Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions point leader. The “Low Rider,” who owns two victories and eight top-ten finishes in eight starts thus far in 2016, stands on top of the standings with a 34-point margin over fellow former series champion Chad Kemenah. Kemenah, an Alvada, Ohio, native, owns one victory on the season, as well as six top-ten finishes in eight main event starts. Sheldon Haudenschild, Ryan Smith and Cap Henry round out the current top-five.

Lernerville Speedway will open pit gates at 5:00 pm on Friday evening, May 13. The mandatory drivers meeting will begin at 6:00 pm, followed by hot laps at 6:40, sharp. For more information, please visit Lernerville Speedway live on the Web at www.lernerville.com.

About the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions:

All Star Enterprises, LLC, wholly owned by Tony Stewart, d/b/a the All Star Circuit of Champions, is a winged sprint car series. The All-Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Car Series is one of the oldest traveling 410 sprint car organizations and is a staple of grassroots, open-wheel racing. Formed in 1970 by Bud Miller, the series has largely been considered the first 'outlaw' Sprint Car organization of the modern era. After a 10 year stint as owner of the All Stars, Miller passed control of the series to Bert Emick in 1980; a reign that would continue through 2002. Guy Webb then purchased the series from Emick in the summer of 2002 and served as the series President for the next 12 years. Motorsports entrepreneur Tony Stewart agreed to terms with Guy Webb to become the sole owner of the original winged sprint car tour in January of 2015.
