Blaney Hoping to Peak Saturday With All Stars at Eldora Speedway

Inside Line Promotions – HARTFORD, Ohio (Oct. 4, 2016) – Dale Blaney has one focus this weekend and that is to perform at his highest level on Saturday at Eldora Speedway.

Blaney and the Mainstream Holdings, Inc., sponsored CH Motorsports team are facing a 20-point deficit in the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions standings with only two races remaining.

“I’m thinking that hopefully it doesn’t rain,” Blaney said. “That’s the key to being able to get both the last two races in and have an opportunity to make up some ground. This time of the year you never know. Hopefully the weather stays nice all week and we get a chance to race.

“We just have to run good, not have any problems and have a solid night. We’re only concerned about what we do. We’ll run the best we can. If it’s winning, it’s winning. If it’s fourth, it’s fourth.”

Blaney held the points lead entering the most recent All Star event. Unfortunately, he was involved in a crash while racing for second, which relegated him to a 23rd-place result that provided a 40-plus point swing.

“We can be aggressive and go after it,” he said. “On the other hand (points leader Chad Kemenah) probably can’t get real aggressive because he does have a lead and won’t want to do anything stupid sort of like I should have done.”

Blaney is tied for fifth with six career All Star victories at Eldora Speedway. He ranks second with seven All Star wins this season.
