Big Game Motorsports and Lasoski Riding Momentum From Podium at Atomic Into World Finals

Inside Line Promotions – CHILLICOTHE, Ohio (Oct. 24, 2016) – Big Game Motorsports is heading into the final event of the season fresh off a podium finish.

The Muddy sponsored team, which is slated to compete this Thursday through Saturday at The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, N.C., for the Bad Boy Off Road World of Outlaws World Finals with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series, captured a third-place result last Saturday at Atomic Speedway during the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions season finale.

“The race track definitely had character,” Big Game Motorsports driver Danny Lasoski said. “We came away with a top three, but we definitely had a better race car. It was a deal where we had to make sure we made it to the checkered flag. It was a fine line between disaster and victory.”

The event opened with Lasoski qualifying 17th quickest overall, which ranked third best in his group.

“We drew a really good number,” he said. “The guys in front of us were running the bottom. We hooked a bunch of holes and both laps weren’t that good. The latter part of qualifying they started blowing the top off and it was quicker.”

Lasoski then won a heat race after starting on the outside of the front row. That locked him into the 12th starting position for the main event.

“I think we could have won if we had long green-flag runs, but we’d run a few laps and have a caution or red,” he said. “Every time they’d pack the top down where it was like a freeway for a few laps.”

Lasoski maneuvered to a third-place finish, which was the Muddy backed team’s 23rd top five of the season and provides momentum entering the marquee event this weekend in North Carolina.

“I’m very, very excited,” he said. “Guy (Forbrook) has prepared a great race car. We have Brian Morrison horsepower. Hopefully they have the race track wide so we can put that horsepower to the ground.”

Lasoski earned a World of Outlaws victory at The Dirt Track at Charlotte in 2001.
