Baughman Heading to Atomic Speedway This Weekend for All Star Event

Inside Line Promotions – TULSA, Okla. (Aug. 22, 2017) – Josh Baughman is focusing on 410ci winged sprint car competition for the remainder of this season as he prepares to make the transition full time next year.

That begins this weekend when Baughman will tackle an Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions doubleheader on Friday and Saturday at Atomic Speedway in Chillicothe, Ohio.

“We’re going to run quite a bit out there the rest of the year,” he said. “Every year we run in Ohio and when we come back we always seem to run a lot better. Plus, we need to test ourselves to get started on 2018.”

This weekend will mark Baughman’s season debut at the high-banked track, where he competed once last year following a stout debut in 2015 when Baughman set quick time out of nearly 50 competitors before charging from 20th to seventh during the All Star main event.

“It’s a fast little joint,” he said. “It fits my driving style. I have enjoyed racing at Atomic and am looking forward to this weekend.”

Baughman has split his starts between 410 and 360 competition this season. His best 410 result was an eighth-place finish during an All Star event at Bedford Speedway in Bedford, Pa., on April 30.
