Cisney Posts Two Top Fives at Port Royal While Debuting X-1 Race Cars Chassis

Inside Line Promotions – PORT ROYAL, Pa. (April 10, 2018) – Dylan Cisney is off to a fast start while piloting an X-1 Race Cars chassis.

Cisney has earned a top-five finish during the first two races of the season at Port Royal Speedway, where he ranks third in the championship standings.

“We are really happy to work with Ryan Linder at X-1 Race Cars,” Cisney said. “I’ve been talking with him a lot throughout this transition and we’re in a pretty good spot. The biggest thing is the car responds to my changes.”

Cisney won a heat race before he placed fifth during the Port Royal Speedway season opener on March 31. He followed that up with another strong performance last Saturday at Port Royal Speedway.

Cisney advanced from sixth to fourth place in a heat race, which missed a spot in the feature redraw by only one position. He started the main event on the inside of the sixth row, but immediately began working toward the front of the field.

“The car was really good in traffic,” he said. “We were up to third and passing for second when a caution came out. Unfortunately, a tire sealed up during that caution because it wasn’t the same car after that.”

Cisney held on for a fifth-place finish, which gives the team momentum entering this Saturday’s Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions event at Port Royal Speedway.

“For only having two races in I feel as good as I can,” he said. “We have a lot to do to make the car as good as it needs to be for an All Star show. However, the car is responding to everything we do to it. We just have to find exactly what it likes.

“We’ve had two different track conditions in the first two races. It was a little faster last week. We started back in traffic in the heat race and worked our way through that. We started deeper in the field in the feature so we got a feel for how it acts in dirty air. Everything we learned is going to help us.”

Cisney’s best All Star performance at Port Royal Speedway last season was a fourth-place finish.
