Helms Working Hard on All Star Events Honoring Bob Hampshire and Rick Ferkel

Inside Line Promotions – FINDLAY, Ohio (April 19, 2018) – Ohio native and sprint car racing veteran Shane Helms is working hard on a pair of marquee Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions events.
Helms is promoting the Bob Hampshire Classic and the Rick Ferkel Classic, which are events that honor two local legends who have helped the sport thrive in Ohio.
“My family has been invested in sprint car racing for a long time and we’re thrilled to be able to honor Bob Hampshire and Rick Ferkel, who both epitomize success at tracks throughout Ohio and across the United States,” Helms said. “We’re working diligently to make sure these two legends are honored properly.”
The Bob Hampshire Classic will be hosted by Waynesfield Raceway Park in Waynesfield, Ohio, on Sunday, May 27. It is the first of two All Star shows this season at the third-mile oval.
Less than a month later on Saturday, June 23, Atomic Speedway in Chillicothe, Ohio, will showcase the Rick Ferkel Classic, which pays $10,000 to win and is the final night during Ohio Sprint Speedweek.
“We’re grateful for the support of the All Stars as well as Waynesfield Raceway Park and Atomic Speedway,” Helms said. “It means a lot to me to be able to promote these events and I think it will mean a lot to the drivers who win these races in honor of Bob Hampshire and Rick Ferkel.”
Start times, ticket prices and information about support classes for the races will be released in the near future.
