White Set for ASCS Gulf South Doubleheader This Weekend

Inside Line Promotions – LINDSAY, Okla. (May 3, 2016) – Harli White is refreshed after taking the last month off from racing.

White got married, took a honeymoon and stocked up on race car parts in April. However, the wait is now over as she will return to competition this Friday at Heart O’ Texas Speedway in Waco, Texas, and Saturday at Golden Triangle Raceway Park in Beaumont, Texas, with the ASCS Gulf South Region.

“I feel great and am looking forward to this weekend,” she said. “It’s nice going into a race weekend with that being my sole focus and not having to worry about an upcoming wedding. I think that will help tremendously. Now I can focus on racing.”

White has had a rough start to her sprint car season. She’s been involved in a crash during all four races this season so the goal for this weekend is simple.

“Just to finish a race,” she said. “That’s the main goal. We want to get through these nights clean, see the checkered flag and put the car back in the trailer in one piece. Of course we’re competitive and also want to win so we’ll see what the happy medium is.”

White has competed at each track only once. She was running in the top 10 during her debut at Heart O’ Texas Speedway earlier this season when she was involved in a crash that resulted in a 17th-place finish.

White endured a DNF during her debut at Golden Triangle Raceway Park in 2014.

“Hopefully we’ve got the bad luck out of our system and we’ll have two competitive nights this weekend,” she said.
