Tulsa Oklahoma (July 22, 2014) – This Saturday will find the action packed sprint cars of the Oil Capital Racing Series making their second of three 2014 visits to the 4/10-mile oval of the Oklahoma Sports Park in Ada Oklahoma. Danny Smith will look to extend his point lead as he continues his march onward to what could be his first ever OCRS championship. Gary Owens will try to go back to back at OSP as he took the Harold Leep Jr. Memorial back in May.
Andrew Deal comes into Saturday night’s race looking to make up points lost over this past weekend. What was recently a nine-point deficit has now enlarged to a 71-point spread and now he has company for the second spot as Chance Morton sits just 56 points back of Deal while Kade Morton is just 10 points back of Chance. Brian McClelland rounds out the top five in points just 27 points behind K. Morton.
11 of the 14 OCRS feature races held this season have been claimed by different drivers. Alex DeCamp has a series leading 3 wins and Whit Gastineau is the only other multiple victor as he took the first two events of the season.
