2 TERRE HAUTES & A LAKE ODESSA NEXT UP; DARLAND BACK UP TO 3RD IN NDC STANDINGS

Three races will impact the 2012 USAC National Drivers Championship this weekend in the final races of the Midwestern calendar.

The Terre Haute (Ind.) Action Track hosts Friday night’s “Jim Hurtubise Classic” AMSOIL National Sprint race and Saturday night’s TRAXXAS Silver Crown finale, while I-96 Speedway is Sunday’s AMSOIL National Sprint Car venue.

Bryan Clauson and Tracy Hines continue to hold down the top two spots in the NDC standings, while Dave Darland vaulted past Levi Jones into the number three spot after last weekend’s 4th DuPont “Gold Crown Midget Nationals” at Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach, Ill.

Hines won Thursday’s Pontoon Beach prelim and finished ninth Saturday. Darland was eighth Thursday and sixth Saturday. Clauson was fourth Thursday and 25th Saturday.
