Brent's hand and the car
Went to the orthopedic yesterday. No surgery needed, Yay! Put his hand in a plaster of paris splint. No work for this week. Brent goes back to the Dr on Monday for a recheck and to re-xray his hand. That will determine if he can return to work for light duty. Brent works in shipping and receiving and won't be able to lift anything until his hand is healed. The Dr said should be about 4 weeks. As for the racecar, there is absolutely nothing salvageable on the car except the motor. Bent the motor plate and motor mounts even. We were given a very generous estimate to put a whole new car together from our local supplier BC Motorsports. Now to get the sponsors on board and see how quickly we can make that happen. If Brent's hand doesn't have any difficulties healing we could make the ASCS Northwest races in Yakima, WA if we had a car together. Given that Brent was in the run for Rookie of the Year, we may want to sit the Yakima races out anyway so he has the chance to run for Rookie next year. Also, we have been in contact with Drift Innovation to find out what's wrong with the new camera we got from myracepass.com. Looks like maybe the SD card confused it or something. Still no luck, but Drift has been amazing and is still working with us. Thanks for checking in with us!
