Inside Line Promotions – MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (June 12, 2023) – Joey Amantea has had this week circled on his calendar for months.

Amantea will join the USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Cars for the entire Eastern Storm, which showcases six straight nights of 410ci non-wing sprint car action in the Northeast.

“This year we have a lot more experience under our team’s belt and under my belt so I think we’ll be better right off the get-go,” he said. “We’re going into it with an open mind. We’d like to make all the shows and go forward every night. I think we’ll get some top 10s.”

The racing begins on Tuesday at Grandview Speedway in Bechtelsville, Pa. Bridgeport Motorsports Park in Swedesboro, N.J., hosts a race on Wednesday followed by Big Diamond Speedway in Pottsville, Pa., on Thursday; Williams Grove Speedway on Friday; Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pa., on Saturday and Action Track USA in Kutztown, Pa., on Sunday.

“The aggression level is through the roof all night racing with these guys,” Amantea said. “Just to be aggressive and smooth and fast is what ultimately ends in good runs. We’re looking to be competitive. We have a brand new engine in our car and I think we’re going to make the most of it.”

Amantea’s most recent race tied his career-best result at Williams Grove Speedway with a sixth-place showing on June 2 during a Rapid Tire USAC East Coast Sprint Cars event.

It marked Amantea’s seventh top 10 of the season and fifth with the series.
