The Actual Best Part Of Getting Back To " The Track"
?Asides from just the excitement of being back at a track, there was so much more for the Moose’s to be grateful for —our good friends Shari & Steve Williby had just the week before packed their bags and moved from Cali to 8 miles from us here in Princeton, Indiana, Paul Dean, a Cali Moose Crew guy ( & a man we miss being around ) flew in to wrench on the car, a super amazing surprise was when Rusty McClure sauntered into the pit area .. seeing Rusty is always such an amazing time, as we are all so blessed that after his horrible crash in 2000, that he is still with us.Then Logan Powers ( another former Cali Moose Crew member arrived for Friday night. His sister Peyton, goes to college in Ohio so they had flown to Ohio to get her settled in for this next semester. When Jennifer ( mom ) saw our post a few weeks ago that we were gonna be racing, she wanted to surprise Logan with a 5 hour or so drive to Indiana to see us and help with the car. The smile on that kids face was priceless, and gee wiz has he grown up into a nice looking and extremely pleasant young man. Logan came to us back when he was about 13 when our dear friend Jim brought him to the races,( who, by the way, we missed dearly) where he became hooked on sprint cars and to this day still helps with a Cali USAC/ CRA car.
The 92 pit area looked like California ‘ole home week, as The McGrady’s, The Shockley’s, Patti Jones, Becky & Rip Williams, Davy Jones, Teri Bliss, Ken Wagner, Steve Koletar, Malyssa, Kevin Eckert, Austin & Missy Williams, The Dunkel Family, Billy, Brian Rtmry and his wife Tiffany and Johnny crew members for Cody’s 44 car in Cali were all there for this fun and exciting event.
