Hull captures O'Reilly USCS Mid-South season opener at Malden Speedway
Jerrod Hull from Sikeston, Missouri stormed from his pole position starting spot into the lead in turn one and never looked back Saturday night at Malden Speedway to win the 30-lap O'Reilly Auto Parts United Sprint Car Series www.uscsracing.com sprint portion of the 1st Annual Bootheel 200 race. Hull's win was very popular with the crowd at the track located a half hour from his house.It was Hull's third O'Reilly USCS win Malden Speedway in the past twelve months.

Bryce Vowan from Forest City, Arkansas had a career best finish in the series in second place. Defending National Champion, Terry Gray from Bartlett, Tennessee was third followed by brothers Tim Montgomery and Joey Montgomery from Fredricktown, Missouri in the fourth and fifth positions. 2006 O'Reilly USCS Mid-South Thunder Champion Mike Ward was sixth, Wade Oliver from Southaven, Mississippi was seventh. The 1999 O'Reilly Champion, Marshall Skinner from West Memphis, Arkansas who won the evenings six-lap Lucas Oil Power Dash, finished eighth, Doctor Christopher Sloan was ninth and second year driver Dustin Barks from Farmington, Missouri rounded out the top ten.
Heat race winners were Hull, Doc Sloan and Steve Short from Farmington, Missouri. Skinner won the Lucas Oil Power Dash. Tim Montgomery was the Huggins Cams Hardcharger of the race. Dylan DeJournett from Essex, Missouri was the Rookie of the Race.
The O'Reilly USCS is back in action on Asphalt at the end of this week with races at on Friday, March 30th at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida and on Saturday night, March 31st at Mobile International Speedway in Mobile, Alabama.
