Graf Continues Dominance at Arlington

On Thursday Night and into Friday we received over 4 inches of rain causing major flooding of the race track and the fairgrounds, track crews worked all day friday to move the water off the grounds to get the racing surface to dry out. Late friday night the water was finally gone but left a very wet bottom side of the race track, track crews worked the track all day Saturday to get the racing surface ready and they did a great job making for another night of great racing action, early on in the evening clouds lingered and rain showers took place a few different times but it wasn't enough to stop the races. The Sibley County Fairboard was in attendance and gave Bob & Susan Allen recognition for there 30th season at Arlington Raceway and the fairboard also was given recognition for working with the Allen's and supporting racing in Arlington for the past 30 years.
In the UMSS VS IMCA Challenge series race 63 Jerry Richert took the early lead until lap 6 when 20g Chris Graf from Glencoe took over the top spot and picked up the win. the race went 20 laps but was stopped on lap 2 when 4 Mike Stien of Gaylord flipped over in turn 1 and 10n Kevin Nickel ended up backing in the wall, then on the front stretch 37 Sye Anderson from Brainerd took a wild ride trying to stop for the red.
