FAAS TAKES CALISTOGA “CLASSIC” OPENER
Calistoga, CA……..AMSOIL USAC/CRA Sprint Car vet Nic Faas of Huntington Beach, Calif. captured Saturday night’s 30-lap USAC Western Classic Sprint race at Calistoga Speedway. He took the lead at the start and led all 20 laps in the Keith Ford Berry Pack/King Racing Products Spike/Nogrady to beat Geoff Ensign, Ryan Bernal, Richard Vander Weerd and Marty Hawkins. Driver Bradley Terrell was transported to a local hospital after suffering a broken leg during a heat race crash. The series continues Sunday night at Calistoga.
