Kamrath Bounces back to win his first TSCS Feature
After flipping his #32 car last week at St Croix Valley Raceway, Tommy Kamrath bounced back to win this week's Feature race. The 3M Graphic Film/Mora Motorworks Reactor Racing pilot shot to the lead from the front row and commanded the entire race. Action was slowed for a hard crash near the midway point as second running Jack Clark jumped his right rear tire over the cushion and slammed into the implement tires protecting the concrete wall at the track exit in turn one. The rubber served its intended purposed as the light-weight car bounced off the wall with only minor damage. With Clark unable to continue, Kamrath’s Reactor Racing teammate Johnny Parsons III inherited the runner spot. Kevin Bradwell pulled off early in the event, leaving last week’s winner, Rob Caho as the final finisher for the Traditional's.
The UMSS Traditional Sprint Cars will be back in action at St. Croix Valley Raceway again on Saturday, August 13, with a special American Wrestling Federation (AWF) event. The Rasslin’ & Racin’ extravaganza will feature Tony Denucci and the stars of AWF, along with Clay “The Wildman” Gallagher performing one of his patented, hair-raising stunts. Opening bell for the wrestling is slated for 7:00, with racing and stunts to follow. Pro Stocks and Pro Modifieds have the night off, but Future IVs, Pure Stocks and Vintage Cars are scheduled to race as well as the mentioned Traditional Sprint Cars.
