LONESTAR SPEEDWAY EVENTS from *4/29 POSTPONED* to 6/24; USMTS UP NEXT 5/13

Kilgore, TX (4/29/17) by DarinShort.com. Tonight's big $18,000+ "For the Love of Alex, Stop Texting and Driving" Night at LoneStar Speedway event has been POSTPONED from tonight (April 29th) to SATURDAY, JUNE 24th due to inclement weather. This makes the next LoneStar Speedway event the $3,000 to win Spring Modified Nationals sanctioned by United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) on Saturday, May 13th at 7pm.

The complete program from April 29th (tonight) will be rescheduled, in its entirety, with the exact same previously posted purse structures and awards for all divisions on June 24th. However, this now allows more time for additional businesses and individuals to participate in growing the event even further.

If you, or your business, are interested in being a part of this special awareness event, send an email to Racemanrt90@gmail.com and Trisha Taylor will get back in touch with you with more information. Again, the 'For the Love of Alex, Stop Texting and Driving' night will now be held on Saturday, June 24th. (Complete event information is reposted after the end of this press release, in case you missed out on the previous rounds.)

MOVING FORWARD TO OUR NEXT EVENT, SATURDAY MAY 13th - Featuring $3,000 to win United States Modified Touring Series:

LoneStar Speedway (LSS) racers and fans are champing at the bit (after last year's rainout) for the LSS Modified teams to get their chance to take on the best in the nation, the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) on Saturday night May 13th.

$3,000 will go to the Spring Modified Nationals feature winner, with a total posted purse in excess of $21,000; which includes the Limited Modifieds competing for $700/win, while the first Factory Stock driver to cross the checkers will take home $500. The FWD 4-Cylinders will round out the 4-division racing card. There is the standard USMTS entry fee and rules in the Modifieds, while the Limited Modified and Factory Stock divisions have no entry fee. All four divisions will receive full LoneStar Speedway points.

This is the first USMTS event at LSS in over five years (the past three were rained out), and race fans can expect to see many of the nation's finest Modified drivers taking on the strong contingent of LSS Modified drivers who are poised to defend their home turf.

USMTS drivers expected include: Cade Dillard, Ricky Thornton Jr., Chris Brown, Jason Hughes, Ryan Gustin, Stormy Scott, Zack VanderBeek, Dereck Ramirez, Johnny Scott, Travis Saurer, R.C. Whitwell, Joe Duvall, Tyler Wolff, Billy Vogel, Trevor Egbert, Rodney Sanders, Adam Kates, Mickey Lassiter, Kyle Pleasant, Thomas Tillison Jr., Philip Houston, Logan Robertson, Zane Hunter, J.R. Plus there certainly will be other regional drivers to add to the mix.

This is one of the biggest points nights of the season at LoneStar Speedway (LSS) with over $18,000 in cash being paid out to race teams, and without any driver Entry Fees!

Trisha and Robert Taylor have stepped up to help raise awareness of the dangers of texting and driving, and also helping to increase the competitor purse in the LSS points divisions for this special night of racing. LoneStar Speedway has matched those increases, creating a doubling effect.

On April 26, 2010 Trisha and Robert Taylor received the call that forever changed their lives, as their daughter Alex had been in an accident and was being taken by air flight to East Texas Medical Center, and would not survive her injuries. The accident was attributed to texting and driving.

Robert is veteran LoneStar Speedway driver, along with his wife Trisha, continue to help raise awareness of the dangers of texting and driving, at their Facebook page titled For the Love of Alex Stop Texting and Driving.
