TriboDyn Lubricants Carolina Sprint Tour Returns to Sumter Speedway Saturday

Inside Line Promotions – TAYLORSVILLE, N.C. (Aug. 19, 2019) – Two storylines are emerging as the TriboDyn Lubricants Carolina Sprint Tour enters the final stretch of a competition 2019 campaign.

There is a tight battle atop the championship standings with Jake Karklin holding a 13-point lead entering an event this Saturday at Sumter Speedway in Sumter, S.C. John Karklin ranks second – only one point ahead of Brandon McLain.

Meanwhile the hottest driver on the circuit is rapidly climbing the standings this summer. Steve Surniak has won each of the last three series races and has now advanced into fourth in the championship standings – only 39 points behind Jake Karklin.

Surniak leads a strong contingent of competitors in a hot battle between fourth and seventh in the standings. Sean Vardell is one point behind Surniak with Frank Peters seven points back and Shawn Mott nine points out of fourth place.

Saturday’s show is the second of the season for the series at Sumter Speedway, where Nick Tucker claimed the season opener on April 27.

The gates open at 5 p.m. with racing to follow.
