Central PA 358 Point Series presented by Capitol Renegade
The 2015 racing season for the Central PA 358 Point Series presented by Capitol Renegade finished up on Saturday night with the final race at Lincoln Speedway and the 2015 series champion Doug Hammaker would go out in style. Hammaker would take the lead on 5 and go on to score hos 6th feature win of the season. Adrian Shaffer would come on strong to finish 2nd, Brie Hershey, Matthew Campbell, and Kyle Denmyer would round out the top 5.
Doug would take the series point lead in its third week of the season and only lose the lead for 1 week before walking away with the series championship. Hammaker would score a career high 6 wins, winning at three race tracks Lincoln Speedway, Williams Grove Speedway, and Susquehanna Speedway. He would also win the Lincoln Speedway Track Championship in 2015 along with the 1st ever Nouse Signs and Graphics 358 Summer Series, and the Lincoln Speedway/Trail Way Speedway Shooutout.
Doug Hammkaer will receive the 2015 Central PA 358 Point Series presented by Capitol Renegade Championship at Susquehanna Speedway November 14th at Susquehanna Speedway. Along with his championship trophy Doug will receive $3,000 from Capitol Renegade. Doug who adds his name in the history books as the 6th series champion in the 7 year history of the series, along with drivers like Jeff Rohrbaugh (2009), Pat Cannon (the series only 2 time champion 2010,2012), Logan Schuchart (2011), Austin Hogue (2013) and Brad McClelland (2014).
Kyle Denmyer received the 2015 Hard Luck Award from the series and thanks to Hoseheads.com received $250. Ashley Cappetta was voted for the 2nd year in a row the series most popular driver and David Holbrook would add his name to the list of Rookie of the year drivers in 2015 along side drivers like Scott Fisher(2010), Niki Young (2011), Ryan Wilson(2012), Chase Dietz(2013), and Wyatt Hinkle (2014)
