Clauson Claims Canyon on Night #4 of Winter Challenge

Bryan Clauson of Noblesville, Indiana quickly made his way to the front of the field from his 5th starting spot in his Cancer Treatment Centers of America/Jonathan Byrd's Racing-sponsored, Mike Martin-owned number 16B, and took home the checkered flag on the fourth night of the "Winter Challenge" at Canyon Speedway. Clauson's car owner and teammate Mike Martin got the early jump on the field to lead the first lap of the feature before Brian Hosford took the point, leading laps two and three. Clauson charged to the front of the pack, taking the lead for good on the fourth lap and cruising to his third win in four starts in the 2016 "Winter Challenge" series, beating Stevie Sussex to the line by a 3.35 second margin. R.J. Johnson, Charles Davis, Jr., and Josh Hodges rounded out the top-five. Clauson holds the advantage in the "Winter Challenge" point standings heading into Saturday night's final round of the five-race mini-series.
