Dover Tops NE360 vs NCRA
Brandon Anderson – Lincoln, NE – May 11th 2014
Jack Dover added his 2nd win of the season this past saturday night in Nebraska 360 Sprint competition, doing so at Butler County Speedway in Rising City, NE. The nights event was also co sanctioned with the NCRA. Dover led every lap to the nights A feature becoming the series first repeat winner of the 2014 season.
Dover’s victory didn’t come with out any challenges though as 2nd place finisher Tyler Drueke had few opportunities to take the top spot following the few cautions that happened through out the night. The first chance for Drueke happened in the early stages of the race as on lap 4 Adam Kaser brought out the events only red flag when he took a tumble in turn 3. On the restart Dover took off to a decent lead only to have the field be bunched back up for Josh Riggins coming to a stop in turn 3 with a blown motor. Under that caution period Jeremy Campbell headed to the work area for a loose fuel line. Campbell returned to the racing surface at the tail of the field. Drueke had a few more chances in the latter parts of the race but couldn't get past the 53 machine of Dover.
Tyler Drueke did pick up some extra cash as on the opening lap of the dash for cash. On the opening lap of the dash Drueke had the hammer down on a re worked racing surface driving on the high side passing Dover in 1&2. After that pass Drueke never looked back holding off Dover and the rest of the field for the 6 lap dash.
The next event scheduled for the Nebraska 360 Sprint Series will once again be at Butler County Speedway on May 24th
