2014 BMARA CHAMP BELL WINS THURSDAY CHILI BOWL QUALIFYING NIGHT

Tulsa, OK – January 12, 2017 – Christopher Bell, the 2014 Badger Midget Auto Racing Association driving champion, took home Thursday’s Chili Bowl Nationals preliminary night feature victory driving for legendary car owner Keith Kunz.

Bell led the large contingent of drivers, both current and former, with ties to the BMARA Midget series who attempted to make Thursday’s main event. Other drivers who made the main event were 2003 BMARA Midget Series driving champion Davey Ray, Wilke-Pak driver Jerry Coons Jr, Danny Stratton, Thomas Meseraull, and Gage Walker.

BMARA Midget drivers who participated but failed to qualify included David Gough, Brian Peterson, and Ken Hanson.

The Chili Bowl Nationals continues Friday with the final preliminary night before the main events on Saturday.
