I-30 Speedway: Saturday, September 17

Belleville, IL – This Saturday, the POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget Series and the POWRi Speedway Motors 600c Outlaw Micro Series invade I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas. Paying $2000 to win and $200 to start, the event will be directed and run by POWRi officials with the typical POWRi format for a POWRi Speedway Motors 600cc Outlaw Micro Series show. The POWRi West Midget Series will be racing for $1500 to win and $150 to start.

Hosting the likes of the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars, POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget Series, and the track's very own coveted, Short Track Nationals, I-30 Speedway is a literal hotbed of open wheel racing action. This will be the first ever appearance of the POWRi Speedway Motors 600cc Outlaw Micro Series at I-30 Speedway and the second visit in 2016 for the POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget Series. The first showing for the West Midgets at I-30 was April 16th, with Steven Shebester taking the win.

Three-time and defending POWRi Speedway Motors 600cc Outlaw Micro Series champion Nathan Benson looks to be well on his way to become the first driver to ever go four-in-a-row for championships, with a 760-point lead over Shelby Bosie. With two wins in 2016, Jeremy Camp holds third with a 500-point advantage over fourth place sitter, Slater Helt. Alec Long is in fifth, a mere 60 points out of fourth place.

With the POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget Series, Steven Shebester has a 580 point advantage over Grady Chandler. Blake Edwards holds third, 640 points behind Chandler. Matt Sherrell is 480 points out of third, with Jason McDougal trailing in fifth, 230 points behind Sherrell.
