Championship Battle Spotlights POWRi Outlaw Micro League Season Finale

Belleville, IL. (10/11/2022) Capping off the Chase for a Championship in 2022, the POWRi Outlaw Micro League presented by Engler Machine and Tool will witness a championship dream come to fruition after the final yearly stretch of competition at Port City Raceway on October 13 and I-44 Riverside Speedway on October 14-15.

Flying onto the scene in his first year of competition, John Barnard of Sherman Illinois rides into the final weekend with a solid five-hundred-fifty point lead while also leading the seasonal quest of Rookie of the Year Honors. Earning eight top ten performances in thirteen feature starts, Barnard has proven consistently to be an up-and-coming force on the racing surface and looks to solidify a dual-honor season in Oklahoma.

Placing inside the top ten in all eight POWRi Outlaw Micro events entered in 2022, Chad Elliott has finished in the top five in all but one seasonal event to propel the Cottage Hills Illinois racer to second in the yearly title chase well within striking distance heading into the final weekend of points.

Riding the wave of first-season successes, Warrensburg Illinois wheelman Hayden Harvey enters the final weekend of seasonal racing rounding out the POWRi Outlaw Micro League presented by Engler Machine and Tool podium points placement. Entering ten events on the year, Harvey continues to improve and impress with six top-ten finishes as well a duo of top-five runs in his rookie campaign less than seven hundred points from the top spot.

Classes Scheduled to compete at Port City Raceway on Thursday, October 13th include the POWRi Lucas Oil National and West Midget Leagues running in conjunction with the Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series, as well as the POWRi Engler Machine and Tool Outlaw 600cc Micros.
