Lorne Wofford and John Carney II Victorious in Jackson Compaction POWRi Vado 305 Sprints

Belleville, IL. (11/19/23) Finalizing the exciting 2023 racing season with a pair of action-packed events in the annual Zia Sprint Car Challenge, the POWRi Jackson Compaction Vado 305 Wing Sprints would witness Lorne Wofford clinch the checkers to notch his fifteenth career series victory on Friday with John Carney II claiming his second career series checkers on Saturday.

Early on-track competitions would find Royal Jones, Caleb Saiz, and Lorne Wofford earning the heat racing wins with Wes Wofford and Caleb Saiz bringing the field to green as the first row for the twenty-five-lap feature event.

Speeding from the sixth-starting spot would find Lorne Wofford lead the final four laps to gain his second series win in 2023 within the POWRi Vado 305 Sprints as eighth-starting and leader of five laps Dylan Harris finished runner-up with Wes Wofford completing the podium placements after leading sixteen laps from starting pole position.

Sailing into contention with the lead pack would find hard-charger John Carney II finish fourth after passing eighteen cars from starting twenty-second as Caleb Saiz rounded out the top-five finishers at Vado Speedway Park with the POWRi Jackson Compaction Vado 305 Wing Sprints on Friday Night’s Zia Sprint Car Challenge.

Resetting for a fresh day of racing excitement on Saturday, early on-track competitions would find Diego Alvarado, John Carney II, and Aydan Saunders earning the heat racing wins with Alvarado and Jesse Baker bringing the field to green as the first row for the twenty-five-lap feature event.

Rushing past six other competitors from the seventh-starting spot would find John Carney II lead the final twenty-two laps to gain his first series win in 2023 within the POWRi Vado 305 Sprints as fourth-starting Wes Wofford finished runner-up with previous winner Lorne Wofford completing the podium placements from starting tenth.

Flying into the lead pack would find Royal Jones finish fourth from starting ninth as eighteenth-starting Jett Carney would hard-charge his way to round out the top-five finishers at Vado Speedway Park with the POWRi Jackson Compaction Vado 305 Wing Sprints on Saturday Night’s Zia Sprint Car Challenge.
