Kent Lewis Sr. Classic 4th Annual
Kent Lewis Sr. has been racing for 6 decades and is still going strong at the age of 70 years old in the Southern United Sprints. Kent has raced everything imaginable; with the Super Sprinters, ASCS Gulf South, NASCAR stock car dirt series, Karts, and even street racing. He has traveled across the states to race at as many different tracks as possible.
Kent Lewis is a legend of racing and is class act. He is always willing to lend a spare hand, extra parts and his vast knowledge of chassis set up to help others be successful in the sprint car arena. Don't let his age fool you when you do the math, Kent Lewis is a fierce competitor in a sprint car. He's not afraid to rub the wall, slide in front of you going into the turn or to power around you on the cushion.
He is on of the hardest working men on and off the track. He lives in Willis, Texas and Gator Motorplex in Willis is his home track. You cannot keep him away from the track whether it be race day or the weekday prior to a race. He assisted Randy Waller, track owner over the off season to make the facility bigger and better for the racing community. Kent and Randy worked countless man hours 7 days a week to reconfigure Gator Motorplex the little 1/4 mile bullring to make it into a wider oval to keep the momentum up throughout the races. They tore down the back wall, catch fence, halled over 600 loads of clay and rebuilt the entire track in three short off season months.
This will be a race to remember as the legendary Kent Lewis Sr. takes on strong competition to try to win his own title of champion at the Kent Lewis Sr. Classic Saturday, June 17th at Gator Motorplex in Willis, TX along with the $1,000 to WIN!
